DRUNK! Yep, I wanted to color Nel…but I’m too drunk and haven’t had enough practice. So I’ll enjoy Naruto and being with Colton. :)

Hi! Is there anywhere else to listen to the concept album? My computer can't open .rar files ):
My answer:Not that I know of…I found this online a few years a go when megaupload was all the rage. I wish I could help you out more. :(
Here is the second concept album from Bare A Pop Opera. I hope everyone enjoys it. It is similar to the other concept album, a lot of the same song titles but different lyrics. Clicking on the album cover will also take you to the download.

Hey, where was the production of Bare you saw? I'm always looking for opportunities to see it!
My answer:I saw Pandora’s production in Louisville Ky. What productions have you seen? I haven’t even had the chance to see it before this week.
Oh my god. Finally after waiting six years I got to see Bare last night. And it was incredible. It wasn’t perfect but it didn’t matter because I finally got to see it live. Ahhhh my life is seriously complete and I have the best boyfriend in the whole wide world. :)
Cast…don’t have my playbill with me so I’ll just use the character names.
Jason-He was pretty decent, there were a few lines he messed up and a a few times during the singing he had mush mouth and I couldn’t understand him but that’s ok because over all he did a really good job. He knew his character pretty well and had strong intentions. I had seen the actor playing Jason in the show my boyfriend stage managed for Pandora, A Man of No Importance, and he was good in that as well but I liked him more in this.
Peter-Oh my god oh my god oh my god. Best singer in the cast, I don’t know if he’s been classically trained or how much singing he’s done but damn! This boy could sing…and he ripped my heart out. He was so good, he was a great Peter all around. But holy shit when he sang Absolution I just started bawling.
Ivy-Holy shit. I wasn’t expecting to love this Ivy as much as I did. I was really surprised by how good she was. I really liked her voice a lot, and she moved me so much. Especially during Portrait of a Girl, when I heard her sing that I got chills. And her All Grown Up, oh my god it was sooo good.
Matt-Oh god. Uhm hmm…how should I put this? Well I have a bit of a biased because I know the person who played Matt and in what I’ve seen him in before I haven’t been blown away..and that was only acting. Why Michael, the director, decided to cast him as Matt I do not know. He could not sing….at all. It was completely flat and he pretty much butchered every song he sang. He was my biggest issue in the show. He was ok when it came to the acting and stuff…but the singing. My god. Just no. :( And it makes me sad because Matt sings Are You There with Peter and that is THE song that made me fall in love with Bare. It was the first I heard, it had the most impact, and so on. And for him to just kill that song was so sad.
Nadia-ahhhhh I LOVED her. She was perfect for the role in every way, her actions, intentions, her voice, everything. It was great, she was great. Her Plain Jane Fatass was soooo awesome. This chick could sing and I was so happy she could.
Sister Chantelle-She was sooo funny, and awesome. She was the perfect Sister Chantelle, and damn she hit every single one of the big notes during her songs without fail. I loved her.
Claire-I’ve always appreciated Peter’s mom but she’s never been one of my favorite characters, but last night that changed. This Claire changed my opinion on the character. I don’t know if it was the fact that I was seeing it live or if it was how well she played Claire but something just finally clicked with me. When she sang Warning I cried, and that song has never made me cry. See Me and Warning have always been a bit of a sore spot with me because that pretty much sums up how I tried to come out to my mom. Though we were face to face. I told her I liked girls and she asked what I wanted for dinner. Anyway I digress…its always been hard for me to listen to those songs without thinking of my mom and stuff so am I bit biased about these two songs but last night I finally understood Claire and got a better understanding of what its like to a parent in this type of situation. So I think the actress playing Claire did a damn good job because she changed the way I looked at her character, and she made me realize something. Either of those two things can make an actor amazing in my eyes. Claire finally has depth and meaning to me.
The Priest-Ah the Priest. He was good..better then I was expecting actually. And in Absolution he broke my heart. You could see the pain he was in and the guilt he felt. It was one of the best Absolutions I’ve ever heard..the Priest and Peter worked perfectly together. It made me so sad for both of them, which is what I think it should do. Because while it’s not the Priest’s fault…he still feels guilty about everything (trying not to spoil in case anyone who comes across this hasn’t heard or seen Bare) that’s gone on.
Lucas-oooo Lucas. I have always loved Lucas, and last night was no different. The actor was perfect, and damn he got his rap down and spat it out without missing a single word. I was impressed…that is not an easy rap to sing..hell I can’t do it and I’ve listened to it a million times. The actor playing Lucas was great, especially with the whole Megan Llyod thing. Hahahaha.
The chorus-they were great, a girl who goes to U of L played Dianne Lee so that was funny to me. Just because Dianne Lee is a spazz and I’ve seen this actress play a lot of different characters and she has conquered them all. So to see her play just a simple funny character like Dianne Lee was great. She was still as wonderful and dedicated as ever as well. The rest of the chorus was good too…even though they all had small parts everybody gave 100 percent and they never faltered.
The set-Well they were in a thrust like setting which I liked..I wonder how many Bare productions have been in a thrust setting instead of a proscenium. I know the original Off Broadway was proscenium and the video of that is the only reference I have for a set. Anyway..it was a simple set..there was an elevated platform in the back left corner which they used for various things then all the other set pieces were put down in front of the platform which I thought was a cool idea. They also used the steps that lead down to the stage and stuff. And From the ceiling they had three..well they weren’t flats, I guess backdrops would be the best word for them. There was a fake stain glass window pain with a cross behind the platform and catercorner on either side of that was more fake stain glass. Which was fine with me..I liked the simplicity. Probably because it wasn’t TOO simple like Bombers or Plays A Play at school. Lol.
Anyway I couldn’t be happier with the production I saw because I got to see it and I got to see it with Colton. I could nitpick for hours about every song and all kinds of different things but since I don’t have to give notes or anything to the cast there’s really no point. Lol its not my production. But it was wonderful. And I know that one day somewhere I will be involved some how with a production of Bare.
Big ass boobies and beer is all I need to end my weekend.
